Rounding out the GOP photo op with good ol' SC Senator Strom Thurmond are VP George H W Bush and SC Governor Carroll Campbell.
On October 14, 1980, the Reagan campaign stopped in Spartanburg, SC, for a speaking engagement at Wofford College by then Vice Presidential Hopeful George HW Bush who, of course, went on to become President, as did his son, George W.
