The only summer regimen I need
Every year around this time I start obsessing about my weight -- it's Summer and Swimsuit season who can blame me? It's also around this time I start analyzing my beauty routine. I guess I assume it's easier to change that than my waist. Improvements elsewhere will overcome my lack of success on the scale. You would think after 40 years of living, more than half spent in makeup, I wouldn't fall victim to this line of thinking. But I do. One trip to Sephora is all it takes to be weak in the knees for the newest product. And even though experience has taught me the only noticeable difference occurs in my wallet, experience goes right out the window. Because here I am buying a bag full of make-me-over-from-head-to-toe sure to disappoint and make me cash poor. When will I learn?
The eyes have it. They always have. It's the one thing I can count on not to let me down -- that, and my sparkling personality, of course. Bikinis, be damned!
And these eyes need only mascara. No eyeliner, no eye shadow, just mascara. Maybelline Full 'N Soft to be exact.
